Untuk orang dengan vertigo, posisi tidur yang nyaman dapat mendukung dan membantu mengurangi gejala serta mencegah serangan vertigo saat tidur. Berikut adalah beberapa tips untuk memilih posisi tidur yang sesuai:

Tidur dengan kepala lebih tinggi

Salah satu cara mengatasi serangan vertigo adalah meninggikan posisi kepala saat tidur. Posisikan kepala setidaknya 45 derajat lebih tinggi untuk membantu mengurangi gejala vertigo. Untuk menjaga posisi kepala tetap tinggi, Anda bisa menggunakan beberapa bantal atau tempat tidur dengan penyangga yang bisa diangkat saat tidur.

Tidur dengan posisi miring

Tidur dengan posisi miring, terutama ke sisi yang tidak memicu serangan vertigo, dapat membantu mengurangi gejalanya. Jadi, jika vertigo sering muncul saat Anda memiringkan kepala ke arah kanan, maka sebaiknya Anda tidur dengan posisi miring ke kiri.

Pastikan juga menjaga stabilitas leher dengan menggunakan bantal yang nyaman agar kepala dan leher tetap sejajar dengan tulang belakang.

Tidur telentang dapat menjadi pilihan posisi tidur bagi penderita vertigo. Posisi ini dapat membantu menjaga keseimbangan kristal kalsium pada saluran telinga bagian dalam dan mencegah penumpukan cairan di telinga bagian dalam yang menjadi pemicu terjadinya penyakit Meniere.

Namun, perlu diketahui, tidur posisi telentang juga sering kali memicu terjadinya vertigo, untuk itu saat Anda bangun tidur dari posisi telentang disarankan untuk bangun secara perlahan dan hindari gerakan secara tiba-tiba.
