Saat sedang hamil Anda sering merasa kepanasan sepanjang waktu, khususnya saat perut telah semakin besar. Minum minuman yang dingin terkadang bisa membantu menyegarkan tubuh kembali.

Sebaiknya hati-hati dalam memilih minuman dingin saat sedang hamil. Misalnya, minuman bersoda yang konon katanya bisa menyebabkan keguguran.

 

Minum Minuman Bersoda Bikin Keguguran, Mitos atau Fakta?

Beberapa orang percaya bahwa minum minuman bersoda bisa menyebabkan keguguran sehingga banyak yang tidak berani meminumnya. Faktanya, minum minuman bersoda tidak akan menyebabkan keguguran, namun minuman bersoda dapat meningkatkan risiko komplikasi kehamilan dan juga risiko kesehatan janin di kemudian hari.

Minum minuman bersoda sesekali ketika sedang hamil diperbolehkan, kok. Hanya saja Anda perlu membatasi porsinya dan juga tidak terlalu sering mengonsumsinya.

Risiko Minum Minuman Bersoda Saat Sedang Hamil

Minuman bersoda mengandung kafein dan juga gula yang cukup tinggi yang kurang baik bagi kesehatan ibu dan janin. Kedua bahan tersebut meningkatkan risiko kesehatan tertentu selama kehamilan.

Efek konsumsi kafein

Minum minuman bersoda tidak serta-merta menyebabkan keguguran spontan, tetapi meningkatkan risiko keguguran akibat adanya komplikasi kehamilan.

Kafein tidak hanya ditemukan dalam minuman bersoda, namun juga kopi, teh, cokelat, dan beberapa jenis obat-obatan. Beberapa studi telah menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi kafein dalam jumlah berlebihan selama kehamilan berdampak negatif bagi janin dan ibu hamil.

Konsumsi kafein berlebihan meningkatkan risiko keguguran di trimester pertama, kelahiran prematur, berat badan lahir rendah dan juga kesulitan tidur pada ibu hamil. Untuk itu American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) merekomendasikan konsumsi kafein tidak lebih dari 200 mg per hari.

Jika Anda merasa ragu-ragu, sebaiknya Anda menghindari semua jenis minuman dan obat yang mengandung kafein, atau mendiskusikannya dengan dokter kandungan Anda untuk menentukan jumlah konsumsi kafein yang aman untuk Anda.

Efek konsumsi tinggi gula

Konsumsi gula yang terlalu tinggi selama kehamilan dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan ibu hamil dan perkembangan janin. Beberapa efek yang mungkin terjadi di antaranya:

  • Preeklamsia
  • Diabetes gestasional
  • Bayi lahir dengan berat badan berlebih
  • Risiko obesitas di kemudian hari
  • Karies gigi pada ibu dan janin

Sebaiknya selama kehamilan, ibu hamil membatasi konsumsi gula olahan, minuman manis, dan makanan yang mengandung gula tambahan.

Perbanyak konsumsi makanan yang kaya serat seperti buah-buahan, sayuran, dan biji-bijian serta menghindari makanan cepat saji atau makanan olahan yang mengandung gula tinggi.

 

Pilihan Minuman Pengganti Soda

Selama masa kehamilan, penting untuk menjaga tubuh tetap terhidrasi dengan baik. Berikut beberapa pilihan minuman pengganti soda yang bisa Anda konsumsi: 

  • Air putih. Anda disarankan untuk minum air putih sebanyak 8-12 gelas per hari untuk mencukupi kebutuhan cairan tubuh
  • Infused water. Untuk menambahkan rasa pada air putih, Anda dapat menambahkan potongan buah seperti lemon dan ketimun, atau daun mint 
  • Smoothies. Minuman ini tidak hanya menyegarkan, namun juga dapat mencukupi kebutuhan nutrisi harian. Anda dapat menyajikan smoothies sebagai menu sarapan
  • Susu. Susu mengandung kalsium dan berbagai vitamin lainnya yang tentunya baik dikonsumsi saat hamil

 

Selama masa kehamilan, Anda diperbolehkan minum minuman bersoda sesekali. Minuman bersoda mengandung kafein, gula, dan pemanis buatan yang jika dikonsumsi secara berlebihan dapat menimbulkan efek negatif pada tubuh maupun janin.
