Manfaat Air Purifier

Fungsi utama air purifier adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas udara yang dihirup sehari-hari di dalam ruangan. Udara yang sudah terkontaminasi debu, asap, serbuk sari, bakteri, virus atau polutan lain akan dibersihkan dengan cara disaring sehingga udara yang dikembalikan ke ruangan adalah udara yang lebih bersih dan aman dihirup hidung dan paru-paru.

Adapun beberapa manfaat memiliki air purifier di rumah atau kantor Anda, di antaranya:

  • Membantu mengurangi jumlah alergen seperti serbuk sari, bulu binatang, atau tungau debu yang berada di udara sehingga dapat meringankan gejala alergi musiman atau masalah pernapasan lainnya
  • Membantu menghilangkan asap rokok, bau masakan, dan bau tak sedap lain di udara dalam ruangan
  • Meningkatkan kualitas udara yang lebih baik sehingga dapat menurunkan risiko terkena penyakit pernapasan dan menjaga kesehatan paru-paru

Penting untuk dicatat bahwa air purifier bukanlah pengganti ventilasi. Ventilasi yang baik juga penting untuk sirkulasi udara yang segar dan kualitas udara yang optimal di dalam ruangan. Cara Kerja Air Purifier

Prinsip dasar air purifier adalah menghisap udara dan melewatkannya melalui sistem filtrasi guna menghilangkan partikel terkontaminasi seperti debu, serbuk sari, virus, tungau debu, bakteri, dan polutan lainnya sebelum kemudian mengembalikan udara yang sudah bersih ke ruangan.

Dengan kemajuan teknologi, masing-masing air purifier hadir dengan sistem filtrasi yang berbeda-beda, misalnya filter HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air), filter karbon aktif, dan lain sebagainya.

Saat melewati filter, partikel-partikel dengan ukuran tertentu akan terperangkap dan tertangkap di dalam filter. Setelah proses filtrasi, udara bersih akan dikembalikan ke ruangan dan disaring kembali sehingga kualitas udara di dalam ruangan tetap terjaga.

 

Walaupun banyak air purifier mengklaim dapat menyaring polutan hingga ukuran 0,3 mikron, alat ini tidak dapat menghilangkan semua polutan dari udara. Sehingga ventilasi yang baik juga penting untuk dimiliki di ruangan rumah atau kantor.
