Agar alas yoga Anda awet dan tahan lama, Anda juga perlu melakukan perawatan yang benar. Pertama-tama, pastikan Anda dalam keadaan bersih sebelum berolahraga. Cuci kaki dan tangan Anda sebelum melakukan gerakan yoga.

Setelah olahraga, pastikan Anda membersihkan alas yoga sesuai dengan petunjuk penggunaan. Menurut pedoman CDC, penting untuk membersihkan alas yoga segera setelah digunakan terutama jika Anda tidak menggunakan alas yoga Anda sendiri.

Anda bisa menggunakan spray berisi campuran air sabun untuk membersihkan yoga mat. Setelah cairan tersebut disemprotkan ke dalam yoga mat, ratakan hingga ke seluruh permukaan alas yoga. Setelah merata, angin-anginkan yoga mat selama 30 menit. Jika sudah kering, simpan kembali yoga di tempat yang kering dan tidak lembap.
