Bagi Anda yang sering melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan, tentu sudah tidak asing dengan istilah tekanan darah dan detak jantung. Biasanya dokter akan melakukan pemeriksaan tekanan darah dan detak jantung untuk mengetahui kondisi kesehatan Anda.

Sebenarnya, apa perbedaan antara tekanan darah dan detak jantung dan apakah keduanya saling berkaitan?

 

Mengenal Perbedaan Tekanan Darah dan Detak Jantung

Tekanan darah dan detak jantung seringkali disebut-sebut saat pemeriksaan kesehatan. Meskipun keduanya adalah hal yang berbeda namun hal ini sering dianggap sama.

Tekanan darah adalah ukuran kekuatan yang digunakan jantung untuk memompa darah ke seluruh tubuh. Pembuluh darah dapat diibaratkan sebagai sistem pipa dalam sirkulasi darah. Pembuluh darah dapat melebar atau menyempit untuk mengatur tekanan darah.

Ukuran tekanan darah terdiri dari dua jenis pengukuran, yaitu tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik. Tekanan darah sistolik adalah tekanan saat jantung berkontraksi memompa darah ke seluruh tubuh sedangkan tekanan darah diastolik adalah tekanan saat otot jantung berelaksasi sebelum kembali memompa darah.

Tekanan darah dituliskan dengan 2 angka yang dibedakan dengan garis miring. Tekanan darah normal dapat berbeda-beda tergantung dari usia dan jenis aktivitas yang dijalani.

Secara umum, tekanan darah normal orang dewasa adalah 120/80 mmHg. Angka ini dapat naik turun tergantung dari aktivitas fisik yang Anda alami.

Sedangkan detak jantung adalah gambaran seberapa sering jantung Anda berkontraksi untuk memompa darah. Normalnya, detak jantung orang dewasa berkisar antara 60-100 kali per menit.

Detak jantung dapat lebih rendah atau lebih tinggi dari nilai normalnya. Jika detak jantung melebihi 100 kali per menit disebut takikardia, sedangkan jika detak jantung kurang dari 60 kali per menit disebut bradikardia. Hal ini dapat menandakan adanya masalah kesehatan. 

 

Apakah Detak Jantung Memengaruhi Tekanan Darah?

Banyak orang menganggap bahwa jika seseorang memiliki detak jantung tinggi berarti tekanan darah yang dimiliki juga tinggi. Faktanya, baik detak jantung dan tekanan darah tidak selalu berbanding lurus. Anda bisa saja mengalami kenaikan detak jantung namun tekanan darah tetap normal.

Namun dalam beberapa kasus, detak jantung memang memiliki efek langsung pada tekanan darah. Misalnya saat Anda berolahraga, detak jantung akan lebih cepat sehingga memungkinkan darah mencapai otot. Saat detak jantung meningkat, tekanan darah juga dapat mengalami sedikit peningkatan.

Di sisi lain, tekanan darah juga dapat berpengaruh pada detak jantung. Jika Anda mengalami kondisi syok dimana tekanan darah sangat rendah maka detak jantung biasanya meningkat. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengompensasi aliran darah ke tubuh.

 

Faktor-Faktor yang Memengaruhi Tekanan Darah dan Detak Jantung

Tekanan darah dan detak jantung memiliki mekanisme pengaturan yang berbeda. Tekanan darah dipengaruhi oleh sistem saraf, hormon, sirkulasi darah dan jantung. Pembuluh darah memiliki reseptor khusus yang membantu pembuluh darah untuk membesar atau menyempit sebagai respon dari berbagai perubahan kondisi yang terjadi.

Tekanan darah umumnya rendah ketika berada dalam kondisi berikut:

  • Sistem saraf parasimpatis lebih aktif seperti saat tidur
  • Volume darah rendah seperti ketika mengalami pendarahan atau dehidrasi
  • Syok septik dimana pembuluh darah melebar karena peradangan akibat infeksi
  • Syok kardiogenik ketika jantung tidak mampu memompa darah ke organ secara efektif
  • Penggunaan obat-obatan seperti tekanan darah dan obat diuretik

Sebaliknya, tekanan darah akan lebih tinggi ketika Anda berolahraga, stres, diet tinggi garam, minum minuman beralkohol dan minum obat-obatan antidepresan, obat flu atau stimulan.

Sedangkan detak jantung sangat terkait dengan sistem saraf, volume darah dan hormon. Detak jantung Anda dapat dipengaruhi oleh kadar hormon tiroid, sistem saraf, kondisi hidrasi tubuh serta asupan kafein. Selain itu detak jantung juga dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor usia dan obat-obatan yang sedang Anda konsumsi.

 

Meskipun detak jantung dan tekanan darah tidak selalu berhubungan, namun pada kondisi tertentu keduanya dapat berkaitan. Apabila Anda mengalami tekanan darah terlalu tinggi atau rendah dan detak jantung yang terlalu tinggi atau rendah maka sebaiknya segera periksakan diri ke dokter untuk mendapatkan penanganan.
