Kulit kering dapat terjadi bisa disebabkan oleh banyak hal seperti kurang minum, pengaruh usia, hingga perubahan cuaca. Selain itu kulit kering juga bisa disebabkan oleh kebiasaan mandi sehari-hari. Akibatnya, setelah mandi kulit bukannya terasa segar namun kering dan bersisik. Apa saja kebiasaan buruk saat mandi yang menyebabkan kulit kering? Simak ulasannya berikut ini.

 

Kesalahan saat mandi yang menyebabkan kulit kering

Mandi adalah rutinitas sehari-hari. Apabila setiap mandi membuat kulit Anda kering, bayangkan jika Anda melakukan kesalahan tersebut setiap hari. Agar kulit tidak semakin kering, coba simak apa saja kesalahan yang sering Anda lakukan saat mandi yang dapat memicu kulit kering:

1. Mandi air hangat terlalu lama

Mandi air hangat memang menyegarkan. Setelah lelah beraktivitas seharian, Anda tentu ingin mandi dan membersihkan badan dengan baik. Mandi air hangat dapat membuat otot badan lebih rileks, namun mandi terlalu lama ternyata dapat menyebabkan kulit kering. Mandi dengan air hangat dengan suhu terlalu panas dan terlalu lama dapat mengikis kelembapan alami kulit dan merusak lapisan terluar kulit. Jika Anda ingin mandi dengan air hangat, disarankan untuk mandi dengan air yang memiliki suhu hangat atau sekitar 37-38 derajat Celcius dan tidak lebih dari 41 derajat Celcius.

2. Salah memilih sabun

Sabun yang Anda gunakan saat mandi juga dapat memengaruhi kondisi kulit. Pilih sabun yang mengandung minyak sebagai pelembap dan sanggup membersihkan secara ampuh. Apabila Anda memiliki masalah kulit seperti eksim dan kulit sensitif, maka pilih sabun yang mengandung pelembap lebih tinggi atau yang disarankan oleh dokter kulit Anda.

3. Tidak bersih saat membilas

Terburu-buru saat setelah mandi terkadang membuat Anda tidak bersih saat membilas. Jika dibiarkan, kebiasaan ini ternyata dapat membuat kulit iritasi dan kering. Terutama jika Anda menggunakan sabun yang mudah membuat kulit terasa kering.

4. Menggosok terlalu kasar

Ada beberapa orang yang saat mandi senang menggunakan loofah, shower puff atau lap untuk menggosok kotoran dan sel kulit mati. Selain mengangkat kulit mati, melakukan eksfoliasi dengan loofah atau shower puff dapat meregenerasi kulit dengan baik. Namun jika menggosok terlalu keras, maka lapisan kulit akan terkikis dan rusak.

Begitu juga dengan penggunaan handuk setelah mandi. Apabila Anda menggosoknya dengan kasar, hal ini juga dapat merusak kulit. Solusinya, hindari mengeringkan rambut dan badan setelah mandi dengan menggosok terlalu kencang. Lebih baik tekan-tekan handuk pada badan secara lembut untuk mengeringkannya.

 

Tips mencegah kulit kering setelah mandi

Anda dapat mencegah kulit kering setelah mandi dengan membatasi durasi mandi hanya selama 5-10 menit setiap mandi. Selain itu, gunakan sabun atau pembersih yang memiliki kandungan pelembap tinggi. Setelah mandi, oleskan krim pelembap ke seluruh badan. Pilih krim yang mengandung pelembap seperti jojoba oil, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, petrolatum dan shea butter.
