Bagi perempuan, mengetahui kapan masa subur Anda dapat membantu meningkatkan peluang kehamilan. Dengan melakukan hubungan intim di masa subur, Anda yang sedang menjalani program hamil akan memiliki peluang keberhasilan lebih tinggi. Lalu, bagaimana cara mengetahui masa subur pada wanita?

 

Apa Itu Masa Subur?

Jika Anda sedang menjalani program hamil, penting untuk mengetahui kapan masa ovulasi berlangsung. Masa ovulasi adalah ketika sel telur dilepaskan dari ovarium agar dapat dibuahi sel sprema.

Masa ovulasi dapat berlangsung selama 12 hingga 48 jam. Namun karena sperma dapat hidup di saluran reproduksi wanita hingga beberapa hari, Anda dianjurkan untuk berhubungan intim mulai dari lima hari sebelum ovulasi hingga sehari setelah masa ovulasi. Rentang waktu inilah yang disebut dengan masa subur. Menurut penelitian, berhubungan intim tanpa alat kontrasepsi di masa subur memiliki kemungkinan keberhasilan lebih tinggi untuk hamil.

 

Bagaimana Cara Mengetahui Masa Subur Wanita?

Dilansir dari John Hopkins Medicine, ada beberapa metode yang bisa digunakan untuk mengetahui kapan masa subur wanita. Beberapa metode tersebut antara lain:

1. Metode pengamatan lendir serviks

Lendir serviks dapat menjadi tolak ukur masa subur. Jika area leher rahim terasa kering atau lendir lengket, maka Anda sedang tidak berada di masa ovulasi. Sedangkan jika lendir terasa basah dan encer, maka Anda sedang mendekati masa ovulasi. Jika masa ovulasi sudah dekat, lendir akan terasa seperti krim.

Anda dikatakan berada pada masa ovulasi atau masa paling subur untuk berhubungan intim ketika lendir terasa basah, berwarna mirip putih telur dan lendir tidak putus jika direntangkan hingga 2-3 cm.

2. Metode pengukuran suhu basal tubuh

Suhu basal tubuh adalah suhu tubuh Anda ketika bangun tidur di pagi hari. Di masa ovulasi, suhu tubuh Anda akan naik 0,5-1 derajat Celcius. Kenaikan suhu ini disebabkan oleh disebabkan oleh aktivitas hormon progesteron yang mempersiapkan jaringan dalam rahim jika terjadi pembuahan.

3. Metode kalender

Metode ini merupakan metode yang paling banyak digunakan untuk menghitung masa subur. Dengan metode ini, Anda perlu mencatat kapan mulai dan berakhirnya siklus menstruasi Anda setiap bulannya.

Masa subur biasanya terjadi 14 hari setelah hari pertama haid terakhir (HPHT) pada rata-rata siklus menstruasi teratur 28 hari. Namun karena siklus menstruasi umumya tidak selalu 28 hari, sebaiknya Anda mencatat tanggal menstruasi selama 3-6 bulan terakhir. Yang perlu Anda catat adalah hari pertama dan hari terakhir Anda menstruasi untuk mengetahui lamanya masa haid Anda.

  • Untuk mengetahui masa subur hari pertama, Anda bisa menggunakan rumus berikut:

Kurangi siklus terpendek (dalam jumlah hari) Anda dengan angka 18

Jika siklus terpendek Anda adalah 28, maka hari pertama masa subur Anda adalah 28 dikurangi 18 yaitu hari kesepuluh setelah hari pertama menstruasi.

  • Sedangkan untuk mengetahui masa subur hari terakhir bisa dihitung dengan rumus berikut:

Kurangi siklus terpanjang dengan angka 11

Jika siklus terpanjang Anda adalah 34 hari, maka hari terakhir masa subur adalah hari ke-23 setelah dimulainya menstruasi.

Jika menstruasi Anda teratur, Anda bisa menggunakan metode kalender untuk menghitung masa subur. Namun jika menstruasi tidak teratur, Anda bisa menggunakan metode pengukuran suhu tubuh dan pengamatan lendir di leher rahim untuk mengetahui masa subur Anda.
