Risiko Mengonsumsi Tahu dan Produk Kedelai Selama Kehamilan

Mengonsumsi tahu dan produk kedelai lainnya memiliki risiko kesehatan tersendiri yang perlu diwaspadai. Kunci yang terpenting adalah tidak makan tahu dan produk kedelai lain secara berlebihan.

Berikut adalah risiko mengonsumsi produk kedelai selama kehamilan:

  • Kedelai mengandung senyawa yang disebut isoflavonoid yang memiliki kemiripan dengan hormon estrogen. Hormon estrogen sering dikaitkan dengan perkembangan organ seksual wanita, siklus menstruasi dan juga kehamilan. Namun, kadar hormon estrogen yang terlalu tinggi dapat menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan hormon di dalam tubuh
  • Risiko kandungan zat berbahaya seperti kadmium yang dapat menyebabkan keracunan, aluminium yang dapat meracuni saraf, asam fitat dan lesitin yang dianggap menghambat penyerapan vitamin
  • Meningkatnya risiko hipospadia pada janin akibat paparan hormon atau zat kimia yang terlalu tinggi selama kehamilan
