Cara Kerja

Dexanta merupakan obat untuk mengurangi gejala saluran pencernaan yang diakibatkan oleh produksi asam lambung berlebih. Obat ini mengandung simetikon, magnesium hidroksida, dan aluminium hidroksida. Simetikon membantu memecah gelembung gas di dalam usus. Sementara kandungan aluminium dan magnesium hidroksida bekerja dengan cepat untuk menurunkan asam di lambung.

Dexanta cair biasanya bekerja lebih cepat atau lebih baik daripada tablet. Obat ini hanya bekerja pada asam yang berada di lambung. Dexanta tidak mencegah produksi asam lambung. Obat ini dapat digunakan sendiri atau bersama dengan obat lain yang menurunkan produksi asam lambung (contohnya penghambat H2 seperti cimetidine atau ranitidine dan penghambat pompa proton seperti omeprazole).

Jika Anda mengobati diri sendiri dengan obat ini, baca petunjuk kemasan dengan cermat dan teliti sebelum Anda mulai mengonsumsi obat ini, untuk memastikan obat ini merupakan obat yang tepat sesuai dengan keluhan Anda.

 

Indikasi

Obat ini digunakan untuk mengobati gejala asam lambung tinggi seperti sakit perut dan heartburn (rasa terbakar di dada, khususnya di ulu hati). Obat ini juga digunakan untuk meredakan gejala gas yang berlebihan seperti sendawa, kembung, dan perasaan tertekan/tidak nyaman di perut.

 

Kontraindikasi

  • Riwayat alergi atau hipersensitivitas terhadap kandungan Dexanta
  • Jika Anda memiliki salah satu dari masalah kesehatan berikut, konsultasikan dengan Anda sebelum mengonsumsi obat ini:
    • Sering mengonsumsi alkohol dalam waktu dekat
    • Dehidrasi/kekurangan cairan
    • Masalah fungsi ginjal (batu ginjal, dll.)

 

Efek Samping

Kandungan magnesium dalam obat ini dapat menimbulkan efek samping seperti diare. Kandungan aluminium dalam obat ini dapat menyebabkan sembelit atau konstipasi. Untuk meminimalkan sembelit, minum banyak cairan dan olahraga. Diare lebih sering muncul sebagai efek samping obat ini daripada sembelit.

Tablet Kunyah 200 mg 200 mg 50 mg
Suspensi 100 ml 200 mg/5 ml 200 mg/5 ml 20 mg/5 ml

 

Dosis

  • Tablet kunyah: 1-2 tablet yang dikonsumsi 3 kali sehari
  • Obat cair/suspensi: 1 sendok takar ukuran 5 ml yang dikonsumsi 3 kali sehari

 

Keamanan

  • Selama kehamilan, obat ini harus digunakan hanya jika benar-benar dibutuhkan. Diskusikan perbandingan antara risiko dan manfaatnya dengan dokter Anda.
  • Obat ini bisa dikeluarkan melalui ASI. Konsultasikan dengan dokter Anda sebelum menyusui.

 

Interaksi Obat

  • Dexanta mengganggu penyerapan obat-obat seperti:
    • Antibiotik: cefdinir, sefpodoksim, siprofloksasin, tetrasiklin
    • Antijamur: ketokonazol
    • Antimalaria: klorokuin, hidroksiklorokuin
    • Antituberkulosis: rifampisin
    • Obat muntah: klorpromazin
    • Obat terapi hipotiroid: levotiroksin
    • Obat untuk menurunkan kolesterol: rosuvastatin
    • Vitamin
  • Kandungan magnesium hidroksida dalam Dexanta dapat meningkatkan pengeluaran zat-zat sisa metabolisme dari salisilat.
