How it Works

Alfuzosin hydrochloride is a medicine commonly used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition where the prostate gland enlarges in older men. Although BPH is not cancerous or malignant, the size of enlarged gland can still press on the bladder and cause frequent difficulty in urination.

This medication works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, which helps improve urine flow.
