Apa yang menyebabkan gusi berdarah dengan sendirinya?

dok, sudah beberapa bulan sejak saya menyikat gigi selalu muncul darah dari rongga gigi saya. tak ada rasa sakit dan luka terbuka namun setiap kali bangun tidur rongga gigi saya mulai memunculkan darah kering menempel di sela sela gigi bagian depan lalu saat saya menggosok gigi dengan perlahan darah kering itu jdi bercucuran. apa yang harus saya lakukan ? bagaimana cara pengobatannya dok? thanks

Gusi berdarah adalah kondisi peradangan pada gusi yang biasanya disebabkan karena beberapa hal, misalnya kebiasaan menyikat gigi terlalu keras atau penyakit lain yang menyebabkan gangguan pada pembekuan darah.

Kondisi ini umumnya terjadi karena adanya penumpukan plak di batas gigi dan gusi. Plak tersebut dapat memicu adanya radang gusi atau gingivitis. Sehingga, saat menyikat gigi, terkadang gusi menjadi berdarah karena adanya plak yang terangkat. Bila tidak tertangani, plak akan berubah menjadi karang gigi atau pun infeksi yang lebih parah dan meningkatkan risiko terjadinya gusi berdarah.


Beberapa penyebab lain dari gusi berdarah di antaranya:

  • Baru menggunakan benang gigi, sehingga gusi belum terbiasa
  • Adanya penyakit yang mengganggu pembekuan darah
  • Berusia lanjut
  • Kekurangan vitamin C atau vitamin K
  • Adanya gangguan hormon
  • Konsumsi obat pengencer darah
  • Daya tahan tubuh yang lemah


Oleh karena itu, untuk menentukan penyebab pasti, diperlukan pemeriksaan lebih lanjut ke dokter gigi agar dilakukan pemeriksaan fisik yang lengkap. 

Untuk sementara, bila sedang mengalami gusi berdarah, Anda dapat melakukan beberapa hal berikut:

  • Kompres air dingin (menggunakan kasa) pada gusi
  • Kumur air garam
  • Penuhi asupan vitamin C
  • Hindari obat kumur yang mengandung alkohol

Waspada bila gusi berdarah terjadi terus-menerus atau berulang dalam jangka panjang. Apabila telah terjadi infeksi pada gusi yang menyebabkan adanya nyeri hebat, demam, atau pun adanya penumpukan nanah pada gusi, segera ke dokter gigi terdekat.


Untuk menghindari adanya gusi berdarah yang berulang, jaga selalu kebersihan gigi dan mulut dengan rutin melakukan pembersihan karang gigi minimal 6 bulan sekali, menyikat gigi rutin dengan sikat gigi lembut dan gerakan perlahan, penuhi konsumsi makanan gizi seimbang, serta menggunakan obat kumur antiseptik setiap hari.
