Jerawat bukan hanya dapat muncul di wajah, namun juga di area yang tersembunyi seperti punggung. Memiliki jerawat di punggung bisa jadi hal yang merepotkan karena jerawat dapat tumbuh di lokasi yang sulit digapai. Sebenarnya, apa penyebab dan bagaimana cara mengatasi jerawat punggung?

 

Penyebab Munculnya Jerawat Punggung

Jerawat punggung atau yang dikenal dengan istilah bacne (back acne) adalah jerawat yang berkembang di punggung Anda. Jerawat ini dapat tumbuh sebagai benjolan merah, whiteheads atau blackheads. Selain menimbulkan rasa nyeri, jerawat ini juga dapat mengganggu penampilan Anda.

Tubuh Anda memiliki kelenjar minyak yang disebut sebum. Sebum melepaskan minyak untuk menjaga kelembapan dan elastisitas kulit. Namun jika kelebihan minyak bertumpuk dengan tumpukan sel kulit mati, hal ini dapat menyebabkan kotoran tersebut menutup pori-pori dan memicu timbulnya jerawat.

Selain penyebab di atas, jerawat juga dapat muncul disebabkan oleh faktor genetik, obat-obatan yang dikonsumsi, hormon, keringat dan stres. Makanan yang Anda konsumsi juga dapat memicu terjadinya jerawat punggung.

Cara Mengatasi Jerawat Punggung

Sebagian besar kasus jerawat punggung dapat diatasi dengan mengubah gaya hidup dan menggunakan obat-obatan. Berikut ini beberapa cara yang bisa Anda lakukan untuk menghilangkan jerawat punggung:

1. Rajin mandi setelah olahraga

Berolahraga atau beraktivitas fisik yang melelahkan dapat menyebabkan keringat bercucuran di punggung. Membiarkan keringat dan kotoran menumpuk di punggung dapat menjadi pemicu utama timbulnya jerawat. Untuk itu, segerakan mandi setelah berkeringat dan cuci pakaian yang Anda gunakan.

 

2. Eksfoliasi

Rutin melakukan eksfoliasi punggung dapat membantu menyingkirkan tumpukan kulit mati di punggung. Anda dapat menggunakan scrub yang mengandung salicylic acid untuk mengikis kotoran dan minyak di kulit. Cara ini dapat mengurangi tumpukan kotoran dan minyak yang menyumbat pori-pori sehingga menyebabkan jerawat.

 

3. Mengenakan pakaian longgar

Pakaian yang Anda kenakan juga dapat memicu terjadinya jerawat. Misalnya, pakaian yang terlalu ketat dapat menyebabkan keringat dan kotoran terjebak di pori-pori. Untuk itu gunakan pakaian yang nyaman dan menyerap keringat agr kulit Anda dapat bernapas dan mengeringkan keringat dengan baik.

4. Menggunakan benzoyl peroxide

Benzoyl peroxide adalah senyawa yang banyak digunakan untuk membasmi jerawat. Anda bisa menggunakan produk perawatan kulit yang mengandung benzoyl peroxide seperti sabun badan atau krim untuk membasmi jerawat. 

Pilih produk dengan kandungan benzoyl peroxide rendah terlebih dahulu untuk meihat reaksinya dengan kulit Anda. Jika dirasa konsentrasinya terlalu rendah, Anda bisa menggunakan benzoyl peroxide dengan konsentrasi yang lebih tinggi.
