Manfaat Tidur Siang

Tidur siang tidak sama dengan tidur di malam hari. Tidur siang adalah periode tidur singkat. Jika bayi atau anak-anak mungkin membutuhkan tidur siang 2-3 jam, tidak demikian halnya dengan orang dewasa. Orang dewasa membutuhkan tidur siang yang lebih singkat.

Agar mendapatkan manfaat dari tidur siang, sangatlah penting mempertimbangkan di mana, kapan, dan berapa lama tidur siang dilakukan.

Berapa Lama Tidur Siang untuk Orang Dewasa?

Durasi tidur siang terbaik untuk orang dewasa adalah sekitar 20-30 menit, tidak lebih. Tidur siang selama 20 menit memungkinkan Anda untuk tetap beristirahat dan meningkatkan kewaspadaan tanpa masuk lebih dalam ke tidur nyenyak.

Bangun dari tidur siang yang terlalu panjang justru dapat menyebabkan rasa kantuk yang lebih buruk, badan terasa tidak segar, sakit kepala atau merasa tidak enak badan. Untuk menghindari dampak negatif tidur siang yang terlalu lama, sebaiknya tidur siang selama 20-30 menit saja

Para ahli merekomendasikan agar orang dewasa tidur siang sebelum jam 3 sore. Tidur siang di atas jam 3 sore dapat memengaruhi kualitas tidur di malam hari. Jika Anda orang yang kesulitan bangun cepat setelah tidur, maka sebaiknya pasang alarm 15-30 menit sehingga Anda tidak tidur siang terlalu lama.

Memilih tempat yang tepat untuk tidur siang mungkin tidaklah mudah, apalagi di tengah aktivitas bekerja. Dengan jangka waktu yang sangat singkat, Anda perlu memaksimalkan tidur siang agar bermanfaat bagi kesehatan tubuh.

Cari sudut terbaik yang nyaman, tidak terganggu sinar matahari dan juga suara gaduh untuk mencegah gangguan di tengah tidur. Jika Anda memiliki waktu tidur siang di rumah, maka Anda bisa memilih sudut sofa yang nyaman di balik tirai yang tertutup. Atur suhu ruangan agar tetap sejuk.
