Orang yang Tidak Boleh Mendapatkan Vaksin Influenza

Sekalipun bermanfaat untuk mencegah keparahan dan komplikasi influenza, menurut pakar ada kelompok orang yang tidak dianjurkan mendapatkan vaksin flu. Kelompok orang tersebut adalah sebagai berikut:

Anak yang usianya di bawah 6 bulan

Bayi di bawah usia 6 bulan belum memiliki sistem kekebalan tubuh yang sempurna. Vaksin flu tidak dianjurkan untuk mereka karena sistem kekebalan tubuh belum mampu menghasilkan respon yang diinginkan dari vaksin.

Riwayat alergi

Mereka yang memiliki riwayat alergi yang cukup berat terhadap gelatin dan antibiotik juga tidak disarankan mendapatkan vaksin flu. Apabila Anda pernah memiliki riwayat alergi namun tidak berat, Anda bisa berkonsultasi terlebih dahulu dengan dokter untuk memutuskan apakah Anda boleh divaksin atau tidak.

Riwayat demam tinggi

Apabila Anda memiliki riwayat demam tinggi atau pernah dirawat di rumah sakit setelah divaksin, maka Anda tidak dianjurkan mendapatkan vaksin flu.

Cara Mencegah Infeksi Influenza

Selain vaksin ada beberapa langkah efektif yang juga dapat membantu mencegah terserang influenza. Anda bisa melindungi diri dengan tertib menjalankan beberapa hal berikut:

  • Melakukan kebiasaan cuci tangan dengan sabun dan air mengalir setidaknya selama 20 detik dengan benar
  • Menggunakan hand sanitizer berbasis alkohol minimal 60% agar dapat membunuh kuman dan bakteri
  • Mennghindari menyentuh wajah, baik bagian mata, hidung maupun mulut
  • Menggunakan masker atau menutup mulut/hidung dengan tissue atau siku ketika batuk atau bersin
  • Secara rutin membersihkan permukaan yang sering dipegang tangan seperti pegangan pintu, pegangan jendela, keyboard laptop, ponsel
  • Menjalankan hidup sehat dan seimbang, melakukan olahraga yang cukup, tidur cukup dan makan makanan bergizi.
