Mengonsumsi teh hangat sudah menjadi kebiasaan dan gaya hidup bagi sebagian orang. Selain menghangatkan tubuh, minum teh hangat juga dapat membuat tubuh lebih rlleks. Anda juga bisa menambahkan madu sebagai pengganti gula untuk mendapatkan manfaat madu.

 

Manfaat mengonsumsi teh madu

Madu dipercaya memiliki beragam khasiat bagi kesehatan. Beberapa kandungan penting dalam madu di antaranya antioksidan, magnesium, kalium, magnesium, serta beragam vitamin seperti vitamin A, C, B, E dan K. Anda dapat mengonsumsi madu secara langsung atau mencampurkannya ke dalam teh. Ahli nutrisi menyatakan mencampurkan teh ke dalam madu tidak merusak khasiat masing-masing dan justru dapat membuat tubuh lebih sehat.

Beberapa manfaat mengonsumsi teh madu di antaranya:

1. Meredakan masalah tenggorokan

Dalam sebuah jurnal yang dipulikasikan di Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, madu disebut dapat membantu mengurangi produksi lendir dan dahak pada anak. Untuk meredakan nyeri tenggorokan ini Anda dapat mencampurkannya dengan teh, air hangat atau mengonsumsinya secara langsung. Pemberian madu secara rutin saat mengalami masalah tenggorokan terbukti dapat meredakan gejala batuk pada anak sehingga membuat anak-anak tidur nyenyak.

Selain anak-anak, minum teh madu juga bagi bagi ibu hamil yang mengalami masalah tenggorokan di awal kehamilan. Saat hamil, ibu hamil tak bisa sembarangan mengonsumsi obat-obatan termasuk obat flu. Jika ibu hamil mengalami masalah tenggorokan karena gejala flu, bisa mengonsumsi teh madu untuk membuat tenggorokan lebih nyaman.

2. Meningkatkan konsentrasi

Sebuah jurnal yang diterbitkan Medical Sciences menyebutkan bahwa Madu Tualang dapat membantu meningkatkan konsentrasi dan daya ingat. Mengonsumsi madu dapat menunjukkan perkembangan siginifikan pada morfologi otak dan peningkatan sistem kolinergik otak. Selain itu madu juga dapat menghambat peradangan saraf sehingga dapat membantu menjaga kesehatan otak. Dengan mengonsumsi teh madu di saat Anda membutuhkan konsentrasi, badan akan menjadi lebih rileks dan siap untuk belajar.

3. Meredakan nyeri menstruasi

Nyeri saat menstruasi dapat berlangsung selama beberapa hari yang tentunya akan mengganggu aktivitas Anda. Untuk meredakannya, Anda bisa mengonsumsi teh madu yang berkhasiat untuk mengatasi nyeri haid. Selain campuran teh dan madu, Anda juga mencampurkan jahe pada minuman Anda.

4. Membantu mengatasi diare

Madu juga dipercaya dapat membantu mengatasi diare. Dalam sebuah penelitian yang diterbitkan Kathmandu University Medical Journal disebutkan bahwa madu dapat mengurangi keparahan dan durasi diare. Selain itu madu juga mampu meningkatkan asupan kalium dan air yang membantu mengatasi diare. Penelitian lain yang dilakukan di Nigeria juga menyebutkan bahwa kandungan antibakteri pada madu mampu meredakan diare yang disebabkan oleh bakteri.

Mencampurkan teh dengan madu juga dapat membantu mengatasi diare. Teh mengandung tanin yang mampu mengurangi kandungan air pada feses. Namun, Anda tidak disarankan untuk mengonsumsi teh madu secara berlebihan untuk mengobati diare. Selain teh madu, Anda juga bisa memperbanyak air putih atau cairan elektrolir saat diare untuk mencegah dehidrasi.
