Pemeriksaan Kehamilan ke Bidan

Pemeriksaan kehamilan ke bidan memang tidak sama dengan saat pergi ke dokter kandungan. Namun, bidan memiliki kualifikasi sendiri untuk membantu memantau kesehatan kehamilan dan janin.

Tugas utama bidan adalah memberikan perawatan antenatal, yaitu pemeriksaan kehamilan yang bertujuan meningkatkan kesehatan fisik dan mental ibu hamil hingga mampu menghadapi masa persalinan, nifas, menghadapi persiapan pemberian ASI eksklusif serta mengembalikan kesehatan alat reproduksi dengan wajar.

Selain yang telah disebutkan di atas, bidan juga memiliki tugas secara khusus, di antaranya:

  • Memeriksa kesehatan, pertumbuhan dan posisi janin
  • Memberi nasihat tentang pemeriksaan rutin
  • Memberi dukungan dan saran terkait kehamilan
  • Membantu mempersiapkan persalinan
  • Memberikan informasi yang mendukung secara emosi
  • Mengawasi perkembangan kehamilan untuk membantu memperlancar persalinan
  • Mengawasi detak jantung janin dan tanda-tanda kehidupan janin
  • Menawarkan pereda nyeri atau memberikan rujukan pada dokter terkait kehamilan

Bidan juga bisa membantu mengatur persalinan dan kelahiran baik di rumah maupun di rumah sakit jika terjadi komplikasi. Setelah Anda melahirkan, bidan masih menjalankan perannya membantu Anda di antaranya:

  • Membantu merawat Anda dan bayi segera setelah persalinan terjadi
  • Membantu Anda belajar menyusui dengan tepat dan nyaman
  • Membantu Anda belajar memandikan bayi dan mengganti popok bayi
  • Merekomendasikan pereda nyeri yang akan diberikan oleh dokter
  • Membantu rutinitas skrining yang dibutuhkan bayi setelah dilahirkan

Setelah persalinan bidan akan mengunjungi dan mendampingi Anda selama beberapa hari pertama. Bidan juga akan memastikan Anda dapat menyusui dan merawat bayi secara mandiri.

Pemeriksaan Kehamilan ke Dokter Kandungan

Dokter kandungan dapat memberikan perawatan selama kehamilan dan membantu persalinan. Tugas utamanya hampir mirip dengan bidan, namun dokter kandungan menjalani sekolah profesi khusus yang juga mempelajari sistem reproduksi wanita.

Saat kehamilan berisiko, Anda tidak bisa memeriksakan kehamilan ke bidan. Anda harus memeriksakan kehamilan ke dokter agar dokter dapat melakukan intervensi medis saat diperlukan.

Dokter kandungan akan mengawasi kehamilan khususnya dalam kondisi tertentu, di antaranya:

  • Tekanan darah ibu hamil tinggi
  • Adanya risiko preeklamsia
  • Adanya kehamilan ektopik
  • Adanya risiko keguguran
  • Adanya problem dengan plasenta
  • Ibu hamil mengalami diabetes kehamilan (diabetes gestasional)
  • Ibu hamil mengalami infeksi tertentu
  • Adanya kelainan genetik yang terdeteksi selama kehamilan
  • Adanya problem mual dan muntah yang berlebihan

Selain mengawasi adanya risiko komplikasi kesehatan selama kehamilan, dokter juga lebih leluasa melakukan prosedur tertentu dan meresepkan obat karena kemampuan yang dimilikinya. Dokter boleh melakukan beberapa prosedur selama kehamilan, di antaranya:

  • Episiotomi
  • Kuret
  • Persalinan pervaginam
  • Persalinan sesar
  • Penggunaan forsep dan vakum
  • Pemberian anestesi epidural
  • Melakukan USG kehamilan baik USG vaginal atau abdominal
