Tak dapat dipungkiri, kebiasaan gemar bergonga-ganti pasangan seksual masih banyak dijumpai di masyarakat. Meski sebagian besar melakukannya hanya demi kesenangan pribadi, namun perilaku tersebut dapat memicu sejumlah bahaya bagi kesehatan.

 

Bahaya Gonta-Ganti Pasangan Seksual

Kebiasaan bergonta-ganti pasangan seksual tanpa menggunakan pengaman termasuk salah satu perilaku seks berisiko. Gaya hidup ini dapat meningkatkan risiko Anda tertular penyakit menular seksual, sejumlah penyakit kanker dan berisiko menyebabkan depresi. Berikut ini beberapa bahaya kebiasaan gonta-ganti pasangan seksual:

1. Meningkatkan Risiko Terkena Penyakit Menular Seksual

Melakukan hubungan seksual tanpa pengaman dengan pasangan yang berbeda-beda dapat meningkatkan risiko terkena penyakit menular seksual. Semakin sering Anda berganti pasangan seksual, risiko tertular penyakit menular seksual juga semakin besar.

Beberapa penyakit menular seksual yang mengintai antara lain infeksi HIV/AIDS, sifilis, gonore, infeksi jamur chlamydia, herpes genital, dan lain-lain. Banyak orang tidak menyadari gejala awal terinfeksi penyakit menular seksual sehingga rentan menularkan penyakit ini ke orang lain.

Apabila tidak ditangani dengan tepat, penyakit menular seksual dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup di masa mendatang. Selain itu, infeksi penyakit menular seksual juga dapat menyebar ke bagian tubuh lain sehingga mengganggu kesehatan tubuh secara keseluruhan.

 

2. Meningkatkan Risiko Kanker

Selain berisiko mengalami penyakit menular seksual, kebiasaan berganti pasangan seksual juga meningkatkan risiko terkena sejumlah penyakit kanker. Perilaku seks bebas meningkatkan risiko terinfeksi virus HPV yang dapat meningkatkan risiko kanker serviks, kanker mulut, kanker anal, kanker penis dan kanker prostat.

Dilansir dari Harvard Health, baik pria maupun wanita yang memiliki pasangan seks berganti-ganti memiliki risiko sebesar 70-91% untuk terkena kanker jika dibandingkan dengan kelompok orang yang hanya berhubungan seksual dengan satu orang yang sama.

Meskipun masih dibutuhkan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai risiko kanker dengan gaya hidup berganti pasangan seksual, namun para peneliti menganjurkan untuk menghentikan kebiasaan tersebut dan menerapkan gaya hidup sehat untuk mengurangi risiko terkena kanker.

 

3. Memicu Penggunaan Narkotika

Dilansir dari Medical News Today, gemar gonta-ganti pasangan juga dapat memicu perilaku berisiko lainnya seperti penggunaan narkotika dan zat terlarang. Sebuah penelitian menyebutkan bahwa orang yang berganti-ganti pasangan cenderung lebih mudah mengalami ketergantungan pada narkotika dan zat terlarang.

Semakin sering seseorang berganti pasangan seksual, ia memilki risiko lebih tinggi dalam penggunaan dan kecanduan zat berbahaya tersebut.

 

4. Memicu Terjadinya Depresi dan Kekerasan Fisik dalam Hubungan

Orang yang gemar berganti pasangan seksual juga memiliki risiko lebih tinggi mengalami kekerasan fisik dalam sebuah hubungan jika dibandingkan dengan orang yang memiliki hubungan jangka panjang. Selain itu, berhubungan seksual dengan banyak orang juga berisiko memunculkan gejala depresi.

 

Kebiasaan bergonta-ganti pasangan seks dan melakukan hubungan seks tanpa kondom adalah perilaku berisiko. Untuk menghindarinya, sebaiknya tetaplah setia dengan satu orang yang sama.
