Tips Aman Menerima Paket saat Pandemi Covid-19

Di tengah masa pandemi Covid-19 seperti saat ini, masyarakat diimbau mengurangi kegiatan di luar rumah termasuk berbelanja. Sebagai solusinya, kini berbelanja dilakukan dengan cara online. Berbelanja online juga memudahkan Anda untuk saling mengirim bingkisan pada kerabat untuk menjaga agar komunikasi tetap terjaga. Dari segi keamanan, belanja online memang aman karena bisa dilakukan di rumah sehingga tidak perlu berkerumun, namun apakah paket yang diterima juga aman dari virus Covid-19?

 

Apakah virus Covid-19 bisa menular lewat paket?

Virus Covid-19 dapat menular melalui percikan air liur (droplet) atau hidung ketika seseorang bicara, batuk atau bersin. Saat orang menyentuh benda yang terkontaminasi percikan tersebut kemudian ia mengucek mata, hidung atau mulut, maka orang tersebut dapat terinfeksi virus Covid-19. Selain itu, orang juga dapat tertular virus Covid-19 ketika ia menghirup droplet dari orang yang terinfeksi. Dengan maraknya kegiatan belanja online, salah satu hal yang menyebabkan kekhawatiran adalah penularan virus melalui paket yang diterima.

Dilansir dari WHO, sebuah penelitian menyebutkan bahwa virus Covid-19 dapat bertahan pada kemasan kardus selama 24 jam dan pada kemasan plastik dan stainless steel selama 72 jam. Namun, dilansir dari WebMD, meskipun virus tersebut dapat menetap di permukaan, tidak berarti virus ini bisa menyebabkan penularan. Dr. Joseph Vinetz, profesor penyakit menular di Yale University menyatakan bahwa tidak ada orang yang terinfeksi karena kemasan paket.

Virus memang dapat dideteksi di permukaan kardus dengan tes molekular namun tidak berarti virus ini dapat menginfeksi. CDC juga menyatakan hal serupa, sementara WHO menambahkan bahwa kecil kemungkinan paket dapat menularkan virus dari sejak paket dikirim hingga tiba di rumah.

 

Tips aman menerima paket saat pandemi

Meskipun WHO menyatakan kecil kemungkinan untuk tertular virus Corona-19 dari paket, namun risiko penularan virus saat menerima paket tetap ada jika Anda dan petugas kurir tidak menggunakan masker dan menjaga jarak saat bertemu. Untuk itu, ada beberapa tips aman yang bisa Anda terapkan saat menerima paket, yaitu:

1. Kenakan masker saat menerima paket

Ketika Anda bertemu kurir untuk menerima paket, pastikan Anda dan kurir sama-sama mengenakan masker. Jika kurir tidak mengenakan masker, minta kurir untuk meletakkan paket di tempat lain. Saat menerima masker, pastikan jarak Anda dan kurir tidak terlalu dekat, minimal 1-1,5 meter. Jika dibutuhkan tanda tangan Anda untuk slip penerima paket, gunakan bolpoin milik Anda sendiri dan hindari menggunakan bolpoin secara bergantian.

2. Siapkan tempat khusus paket di depan rumah

Akan lebih baik jika Anda memiliki tempat khusus meletakkan paket yang diletakkan di depan rumah Anda. Dengan begitu, kurir dapat meletakkan paket Anda di tempat tersebut.

3. Semprot paket dengan desinfektan

Sebelum membuka paket, semprot dulu paket Anda dengan desinfektan lalu tunggu selama 5-10 menit. Setelah itu, buka paket dengan gunting khusus yang tidak digunakan untuk keperluan lain seperti membuka plastik makanan dan lain-lain. Setelah paket terbuka, Anda juga perlu mencuci gunting dengan sabun atau menyemprotnya dengan desinfektan.

4. Cuci tangan

Setelah membuka paket, buang semua kardus dan plastik pembungkus paket ke tempat sampah, lalu cuci tangan Anda dengan sabun hingga bersih.

 

Menerima paket saat pandemi adlaah kegiatan yang aman dilakukan asalkan Anda dan kurir sama-sama menerapkan protokol kesehatan. Untuk itu, setiap menerima paket selalu gunakan masker dan jangan lupa cuci tangan setelah menerima masker dari kurir.
