Cara Kerja

Efek Microlax akan bekerja dalam waktu 5-15 menit. Microlax bekerja dengan cara:

  • Menurunkan tegangan permukaan feses/tinja
  • Menyerap air ke dalam usus besar secara bersamaan sehingga feses menjadi lembek/lunak
  • Melumasi rektum (bagian akhir dari usus besar) agar feses lebih mudah dikeluarkan

 

Indikasi

Microlax merupakan obat pencahar yang digunakan untuk mengatasi keluhan susah buang air besar (sembelit). Obat ini khususnya diberikan kepada orang yang harus tinggal di tempat tidur, anak-anak, orang dewasa, lansia, dan wanita hamil.

 

Kontraindikasi

Microlax tidak boleh diberikan kepada pasien yang menderita wasir akut atau radang usus besar.

 

Efek Samping

Belum pernah ada laporan mengenai efek samping dari penggunaan Microlax. Namun, penggunaan yang berlebihan dapat menyebabkan diare dan kekurangan cairan.

 

Sediaan

Microlax berbentuk gel yang dikemas dalam tube ukuran 5 ml. Tiap tube 5 ml mengandung:

  • Sorbitol 4,465 g
  • Na-lauril sulfoasetat 0,045g
  • Natrium sitrat 0,45 g
  • PEG-400 0,625 g

 

Dosis

Untuk anak yang berusia di bawah 3 tahun, berikan setengah tube Microlax. Anda cukup memasukkan setengah dari pipa aplikator dan masukkan setengah isi tube ke dalam anus bayi Anda. Setelah gel masuk, rapatkan kedua kaki bayi Anda dengan lembut untuk mencegah gel keluar kembali.

Untuk anak yang berusia di atas 3 tahun dan orang dewasa, bisa diberikan 1 tube Microlax. Tekan sedikit tube supaya sejumlah kecil isinya keluar, lalu oleskan gel pada bagian luar pipa aplikator. Kemudian, duduklah di toilet dalam posisi biasa Anda atau cukup berjongkok sedikit dan masukkan pipa aplikator ke dalam anus, tekan tube hingga seluruh isi gelnya keluar. Cabut pipa Kembali tanpa melepas tekanan pada tube.

 

Keamanan

Microlax hanya bekerja secara lokal di area rektum. Zat aktifnya tidak diserap oleh tubuh, sehingga Microlax dapat digunakan pada ibu hamil dan menyusui. Namun, tetap konsultasikan dengan dokter  Anda sebelum penggunaan Microlax jika Anda sedang hamil atau menyusui.
