Anda mungkin sering mendengar, membaca, atau diberikan nasihat untuk konsumsi makanan sehat dan pola hidup sehat. Namun, apakah Anda tahu sebenarnya makan makanan yang sehat itu seperti apa? Simak ulasannya.

Panduan makanan sehat

Dilansir NHS UK, konsumsi makanan sehat artinya harus sesuai dengan jumlah kalori yang dibutuhkan oleh tubuh. Berapa banyak kalori yang dibutuhkan oleh tubuh? Anda bisa mengetahui jumlah kalori yang dibutuhkan tubuh Anda dengan menghitung menggunakan aplikasi agar sesuai dengan kondisi Anda. Namun, secara umum kebutuhan kalori tubuh manusia kurang lebih sekitar 1.500-2.500 kalori per hari, bergantung pada aktivitas fisik serta jenis kelamin Anda.

Lalu, bagaimana komponen makanan yang disebut dengan makanan sehat? Berikut penjelasannya.

Makanan pokok

Pilih makanan pokok berupa karbohidrat dengan serat yang tinggi. Karbohidrat berpati jumlahnya harus sepertiga dari makanan lainnya. Contoh karbohidrat berpati antara lain kentang, roti, nasi, pasta dan sereal.

Karbohidrat dengan serat tinggi seperti gandum utuh, nasi merah, dan kentang adalah pilihan karbohidrat yang membuat Anda merasa kenyang lebih lama.

Buah dan sayur

Setiap hari Anda direkomendasikan untuk mengonsumsi 5 jenis buah atau sayuran yang berbeda. Semuanya bisa disajikan dalam bentuk potongan segar, beku, kalengan, dikeringkan atau dalam bentuk jus.

Mengonsumsi ikan tinggi omega-3

Ikan selain menjadi sumber protein dan vitamin serta mineral, juga kaya akan lemak omega-3 yang dapat mencegah penyakit jantung. Contoh makanan laut atau ikan yang direkomendasikan seperti salmon, makarel, tuna, sardin, dan lain sebagainya.

Anda bisa memilih ikan yang segar, beku, ikan asap, atau kalengan. Namun yang perlu diingat, ikan kalengan atau ikan asap tinggi kandungan garamnya.

Membatasi asupan lemak jenuh dan gula

Mengonsumsi terlalu banyak lemak jenuh dapat menyebabkan kolesterol di dalam darah yang memicu penyakit jantung. Sebaiknya konsumsi lemak jenuh ini dibatasi, tak lebih dari 30 gram untuk pria, dan tak lebih dari 20 gram untuk wanita setiap harinya.

Lemak jenuh ini dapat ditemukan dalam makanan antara lain:

  • Daging berlemak
  • Sosis
  • Margarin
  • Keju
  • Krim
  • Kue
  • Biskuit
  • Pie dan lain sebagainya

Selain itu, membatasi asupan gula juga dapat membantu menjaga kesehatan agar terhindari dari obesitas dan kerusakan gigi.

Membatasi asupan garam

Mengonsumsi terlalu banyak garam dapat meningkatkan tekanan darah yang bisa menyebabkan hipertensi, penyakit jantung dan stroke. Disarankan agar tidak mengonsumsi garam lebih dari 6 gram setiap hari atau sekitar 1 sdt agar tubuh tetap sehat.

Pola hidup sehat

Selain mengonsumsi makanan sehat, mengubah pola hidup sehat juga penting dilakukan. DI antaranya:

Selalu aktif dan berolahraga rutin

Menjaga tubuh tetap aktif dan berolahraga rutin dapat membantu tubuh terhindar dari obesitas. Obesitas sendiri adalah salah satu sumber penyakit kronis lain seperti diabetes tipe 2, kanker, penyakit jantung, dan stroke. Menjaga berat badan tetap ideal akan menurunkan risiko penyakit kronis. Anda bisa melakukan olahraga rutin setidaknya 30 menit setiap hari agar berat badan tetap terjaga.

Cukupi kebutuhan air minum

Sangatlah penting untuk mendapatkan asupan air minum yang cukup agar tubuh tak kekurangan cairan. Pilih air mineral untuk sumber cairan agar tidak menyebabkan kerusakan gigi.

Sarapan

Sebagian orang beralasan tidak biasa makan pagi atau sarapan, padahal sarapan sangat penting sebagai sumbe energi sebelum melakukan aktivitas harian.

Kebiasaan setelah makan yang perlu dihindari

Selain hal-hal di atas, agar Anda tetap sehat ada 3 hal yang tak boleh dilakukan setelah makan. Seperti dilansir Livestrong, sebaiknya hindari hal-hal berikut:

Menggosok gigi langsung setelah makan

Menggosok gigi sesaat setelah makan dapat menyebabkan kerusakan gigi. Lebih baik tunggu sekitar 30 menit agar tidak merusak enamel gigi.

Tidur

Tidur setelah makan dapat menyebabkan maag dan refluks asam. Lebih baik duduk tegak atau berdiri dan memberikan waktu untuk organ pencernaan mencerna makanan.

Berolahraga

Langsung berolahraga setelah makan dapat menyebabkan sakit perut dan kram otot. Jika Anda berencana berolahraga setelah makan, setidaknya harus menunggu 1-2 jam.
