  • Dermatitis
  • Autoimmune disorders in which the immune system attacks the skin and cannot differentiate foreign matters, such as psoriasis vulgaris

  • Allergic skin reactions

  • Skin lesions due to untreated bacterial, fungal, or viral infections

  • Acne vulgaris

  • Widespread psoriatic plaques

  • Perioral dermatitis around the lips and mouth

  • Itching without signs of inflammation, and similar conditions

  • Itchy skin

  • Red patches on the skin

  • Dry skin

  • A burning sensation on the skin

  • Blistering of the skin

  • Acne

  • Thinning of the skin

Types

Betamethasone dipropionate is available as:

  • Cream
  • Gel
  • Ointment

Dosage

Apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily for up to two weeks. Follow your doctor’s directions on use, since excessive application of betamethasone dipropionate can lead to skin rashes.
