Terkait pertanyaan Anda, limfadenitis adalah sebuah kondisi peradangan yang mengenai kelenjar getah bening. Kelenjar getah bening merupakan bagian dari sistem limfatik tubuh yang bertugas mengeliminasi dan menyerang mikroorganisme asing, seperti virus, bakteri, parasit, dan jamur. 

Kelenjar getah bening berbentuk bulat dan terletak di beberapa bagian tubuh, yaitu:

  • Leher;
  • Ketiak;
  • Selangkangan.

Limfadenitis dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa mikroorganisme, antara lain:

  • Bakteri, contohnya Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Staphylococcus aureus, dan Streptococcus;
  • Virus, contohnya Epstein-Barr, Cytomegalovirus, Herpes Simpleks, dan Rubella;
  • Jamur, contohnya Histoplasma capsulatum dan Cryptococcus neoformans;
  • Parasit, contohnya Toxoplasma gondii, Leishmania spp., dan plasmodium spp.;

Dengan demikian, limfadenitis tuberculosis colli dextra berarti adanya peradangan pada kelenjar getah bening yang terletak di bagian leher sebelah kanan, disebabkan akibat infeksi Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

Bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis umumnya masuk ke tubuh melalui saluran napas dan beristirahat di organ paru. Saat imunitas tubuh melemah, bakteri tersebut menjadi aktif dan mulai menyerang organ paru. Ketika imunitas tubuh tidak cukup kuat untuk melawan, maka bakteri ini bisa menginfeksi organ lain, seperti kelenjar getah bening.

Gejala yang umumnya timbul, berupa:

  • Demam;
  • Teraba pembengkakan atau pembesaran kelenjar getah bening di area leher, ketiak, atau lipat paha;
  • Pembengkakan disertai rasa nyeri saat ditekan dan muncul kemerahan;
  • Pembengkakan tersebut mengeluarkan nanah.

Untuk membantu proses penyembuhan dan mencegah penyebaran terhadap orang lain, Anda perlu:

  • Mengonsumsi Obat Anti Tuberkulosis (OAT) secara rutin selama 9-12 bulan;
  • Mengonsumsi makanan bergizi;
  • Cukupi kebutuhan cairan 8 gelas per hari;
  • Cukupi kebutuhan istirahat 6-8 jam per hari;
  • Menggunakan masker;
  • Rutin mencuci tangan;
  • Sementara kurangi kontak dengan orang lain, terutama anak dan lansia.

Apabila pembengkakan semakin besar, demam tidak kunjung turun, disertai keringat berlebih di malam hari atau berat badan yang turun secara progresif, Anda dianjurkan untuk konsultasi langsung dengan dokter spesialis bedah. Ketika pembengkakan membesar lebih dari 3 cm, memiliki resisten terhadap Obat Anti Tuberkulosis (OAT), atau memiliki riwayat TB berulang, umumnya dokter akan merekomendasikan untuk melakukan eksisi atau pengangkatan jaringan pada kelenjar getah bening tersebut.
