How It Works

Diapet, or Diapet Anak, is a herbal antidiarrheal medication containing various extracts from guava leaves, turmeric, mojokeling fruit, and pomegranate peel. The ingredients are as follows: Psidii guajava folium extract 240 mg, Curcumae domesticaea rhizome extract 204 mg, Chebulae fructus extract 84 mg, and Granati pericarpium extract 72 mg.

Diapet NR contains Curcumae domesticaea rhizome extract 67.92 mg, Psidii guajava folium extract 80 mg, Chebulae fructus terminalis extract 27.92 mg, attapulgite activated colloidal 200 mg, and activated charcoal 54.35 mg.

All of the ingredients play a role in the process of helping to overcome diarrhea, helping to reduce the frequency of bowel movements, helping to restore the shape of the stool to become solid due to diarrhea, and helping to relieve the symptoms of heartburn due to diarrhea.

Indications

Diarrhea treatment.

Contraindications

Not suitable for children under 5 years old.

Side Effects

Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or constipation.

Capsules and syrup in 60 mL bottles.

Dosage

Diapet

Adults: 2 capsules twice daily, 1 hour apart.

Diapet Anak

Children over 5 years: 10 mL twice daily.

Diapet NR

Adults and children over 5 years: 2 capsules twice daily, 1 hour apart.

Safety

Pregnancy:

FDA Category N (the risk to the fetus is not clearly known, so consult with a doctor before use).

Drug Interactions

No major drug interactions have been reported, but it is advisable to consult a doctor if taking other medications alongside Diapet.
