How It Works
Fucoidan is a polysaccharide derived from brown seaweed species. It is believed to have anti-inflammatory and anti-clotting properties and plays a role in promoting gastric health by enhancing the protective mucus layer of the stomach.
Indications
Fucoidan is used as an adjunctive treatment for gastric ulcers and supports gastric health by boosting the protective mucus layer of the stomach.
Contraindications
Fucoidan should not be used by individuals with a known allergy or hypersensitivity to fucoidan (e.g., hives or facial swelling) or those currently using blood thinners such as warfarin or heparin.
Side Effects
Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation or diarrhea.

Adults: 2 x 50 mg per day, or 1 x 100 mg per day, or 2 x 5 mL per day (syrup)

Fucoidan is classified as FDA Category N (the risk to the fetus is not clearly established). It is important to consult with a doctor before using this product during pregnancy to ensure proper monitoring.
Drug Interactions
Blood-thinning medications (e.g., warfarin and heparin): Using fucoidan with blood thinners may increase the risk of bleeding.
