Cara Kerja

Dequalinium chloride merupakan kandungan Degirol yang bersifat antiseptik serta mampu melawan bakteri gram negatif dan positif, jamur, dan protozoa. Senyawa yang terkandung dalam Degirol ini berkaitan dengan infeksi ringan di mulut dan tenggorokan. Mengisap obat Degirol memungkinkan dequalinium chloride bekerja langsung di area yang terinfeksi. Obat ini juga melubrikasi dan menenangkan area mulut yang terasa sakit, dapat membantu menghilangkan rasa sakit dan rasa tidak nyaman.

Obat ini bekerja sebagai antimikroba dengan cara:

  • Meningkatkan permeabilitas sel
  • Menurunkan aktivitas enzim dan mengaktifkan efek bakterisida dan fungisida untuk membunuh mikroba

Efek bakterisida dan fungisida dari Dequalinium chloride telah dibuktikan terjadi dalam waktu 30-60 menit. Dequalinium chloride menargetkan mikroorganisme spektrum luas, serta spesies jamur seperti Candida.

 

Indikasi

Obat ini dapat digunakan pada orang-orang yang mengalami:

  • Sakit tenggorokan
  • Infeksi rongga mulut dan faring
  • Pasca tindakan pencabutan gigi untuk mencegah infeksi selaput lendir mulut
  • Sebagai pencegahan pilek & batuk, terutama bagi perokok

 

Kontraindikasi

  • Obat ini tidak boleh dikonsumsi oleh orang-orang yang memiliki alergi atau hipersensitivitas terhadap kandungan dequalinium chloride
  • Anak-anak usia di bawah 6 tahun tidak boleh memakan obat ini

 

Efek Samping

Efek samping dari tablet hisap Degirol jarang terjadi tetapi mungkin dapat timbul rasa nyeri pada lidah dan reaksi alergi berat terhadap kandungan dequalinium chloride. Reaksi alergi dapat bermanifestasi sebagai biduran atau ruam pada kulit, bengkak pada kelopak mata atau bibir, sampai sesak nafas

 

Sediaan

Degirol tersedia dalam bentuk tablet hisap yang mengandung Dequalinium chloride 0.25 mg.

 

Dosis

Dewasa dan anak usia > 10 tahun:

Hisap 1 tablet Degirol di lidah, dapat diulangi tiap 3-4 jam. Maksimal konsumsi 8 tablet setiap hari.

 

Keamanan

Belum diketahui apakah kandungan dequalinium chloride dalam Degirol aman atau tidak jika digunakan selama masa kehamilan dan menyusui. Konsumsi obat ini hanya boleh digunakan jika Anda sudah berkonsultasi dengan dokter spesialis kandungan Anda sebelumnya, dan memastikan bahwa manfaat yang diperoleh dari konsumsi obat ini lebih besar dibanding risikonya.

 

Interaksi Obat
